The Drones are bringing their first headline tour across Australia in a decade to Fortitude Valley, with a brand new show added to the schedule.
Following rapid sell-outs of their initial Brisbane dates, the band has announced an extra performance at the Crowbar on Wednesday, 26 August.
This addition comes as the band responds to phenomenal demand for tickets across the country. The tour, which spans August and September, will see the band playing songs from their seven albums.
Extra Shows Announced Across Australia
The Drones have added new dates in Hobart, Newcastle, and a fourth show in Melbourne to their itinerary.
According to The Music, the band also confirmed a third show in Sydney and a second show in Perth.
The newly announced dates include a performance in Newcastle on Friday, 18 September, and a show in Hobart on Friday, 25 September.
Tickets for the remaining shows are now available via the venue websites.
Brisbane Dates and Venue Details
The band’s Brisbane run is now fully booked, with three consecutive nights at the Crowbar in Fortitude Valley.
The original dates on Thursday, 27 August, and Friday, 28 August, have already sold out.
The newly added show on **Wednesday, 26 August** is the final opportunity to catch the band in the inner-city venue.
The tour kicks off at the Darwin Festival on Saturday, 8 August, before moving to Victoria and then to Brisbane.
A Decade in the Making
Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin are taking a mini break from their other project, Tropical Fuck Storm, to return to the spotlight with The Drones.
In their initial almost two-decade existence, the band released six albums. Their 2005 release, *Wait Long By The River And The Bodies Of Your Enemies Will Float By*, won the inaugural Australian Music Prize.
This 2026 tour marks a significant return for the group, who have not headlined a national tour in ten years.
