Enano Stops Blizzard in Fortitude Valley
Sem Japet Enano extended his winning streak in Australia with a seventh-round technical knockout against Tyler Blizzard on Friday night. The fight took place at the Fortitude Music Hall in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
According to reports from Cebu Daily News, Enano dominated the bout, landing a flurry of combinations that left Blizzard reeling. The referee stepped in at the 42-second mark of the seventh round to stop the contest.
The 26-year-old Filipino boxer improved his professional record to 9–2 with four knockouts. Blizzard, a hometown fighter, fell to 10–2 with four knockouts following the loss.
A Back-to-Back Success for Sanman Boxing
This victory marks Enano’s second win in Australia this year. As noted by Cebu Daily News, he previously defeated Australian boxer Tyler Adams via unanimous decision in April. That earlier win secured him the International Boxing Organization (IBO) Oceania-Orient featherweight title.
The fight on July 10 was originally billed as an eight-round non-title bout intended to serve as a stepping stone for Blizzard. Instead, Enano delivered a decisive performance that highlighted his rising status in the sport.
Jim Claude Manangquil, the manager at Sanman Boxing Gym, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome. Manangquil, who was named Manager of the Year in 2023, stated that bigger fights await his fighter following these consecutive impressive victories.
Enano, who trains at the Sanman Boxing Gym in General Santos City, Philippines, took a moment to thank his supporters. “I want to thank everyone who supports me, my family and my team, Sanman Boxing,” Enano said. “I will continue to work hard and reach my goal of becoming a world champion.”

The venue, known for its art deco charm and live music legacy, hosted the fight as part of a card that also featured a lightweight bout between Presco Carcosia and Fred Zziwa. Zziwa won that match by knockout in the second round.
