Two New Venues Set to Transform Constance Street Next Week
A major hospitality expansion is arriving in Fortitude Valley next week. The Potentia Solutions Leisure group will open two new venues on Constance Street on Friday, May 29. The new additions include Siroco Rooftop and Bar Lucé, bringing fresh dining and drinking options to the inner-city suburb.
These openings mark the latest move by the group behind established local spots like Lina Rooftop, Soko, and Azteca. According to InDaily Queensland, the new concepts aim to bring Mediterranean flair and European intimacy to the Valley.
Siroco Rooftop Brings Coastal Vibes to the Skyline
Siroco Rooftop will occupy the top-level space previously held by TABOO and Dirty Sultan. The venue is designed to capture the “breathless, sweaty energy” of the Mediterranean coastline. The interior features a raw aesthetic with neutral tones, stone tables, and textured rendered walls.
A key feature of the new rooftop is a retractable roof. This installation ensures the venue remains an all-weather destination. CEO Ross Ledingham told InDaily that the name refers to the wind crossing the Mediterranean during seasonal changes. He described the space as now being “open – beautiful, light, airy and coastal.”
The menu focuses on coastal-inspired fire cooking and Mediterranean spice. Diners can expect signature dishes like camaron rojo carpaccio with mango salsa and wagyu picanha with onion-butter sauce. The Siroco Chicken, a grilled spatchcock served with smoked Aleppo pepper, will also be a highlight.
Bar Lucé Offers Euro-Style Intimacy Downstairs
Downstairs, the former Rose Room has been transformed into Bar Lucé. This 90-seat venue operates as an all-day destination, serving everything from breakfast to nightcaps. The design channels the seductive intimacy of European cafes with pale yellow walls and auburn accents.</
Soft couch seating and ample greenery create a warm atmosphere. Ross Ledingham described the downstairs vibe as “quirky fun snacks” rather than full sit-down meals. The goal is to replicate the relaxed atmosphere found in cities like Sydney, Dubai, London, and New York.
The food menu is Euro-centric, featuring platters of oysters, king crab, scallop, and Moreton Bay bug finished with sherry vinegar. Other highlights include pizzetta topped with aged wagyu bresaola and grilled tiger prawns with brown-butter capers. Ambient house music will set the rhythm for the evening.
Opening Details and What to Expect
Both Siroco Rooftop and Bar Lucé will open to the public on Friday, May 29. The hospitality group is positioning these venues to cater to leisurely afternoon lunches, sunset dining, and late-night revelry.
Residents in Fortitude Valley can expect a new hub for shared dining and wine on Constance Street. The expansion adds significant capacity to the local nightlife and dining scene just as the region prepares for the warmer months.
