Teneriffe House Unveils Rooftop Tennis Court and Tesla Robotics

Developer Cavcorp has revealed plans for Teneriffe House, a new 15-storey residential tower set to replace the former Queensland Cotton head office site in Teneriffe. The proposal includes a rare rooftop tennis court, a 25m lap pool, and a dedicated Tesla Optimus robotic room for future logistics.

The 93-apartment project was lodged as a code assessable development application for the mixed-use site at 93 apartments. It is designed by Plazibat Architects and aims to transform a private Woolstore service easement into a permanent public pedestrian laneway.

A New Connection for the Neighbourhood

Central to the development is Teneriffe Lane, an 85m cross-block link connecting Wyandra and Helen streets. This new route will permanently secure a public connection between the heritage riverwalk and the Gasworks and Long Island precincts.

Cavcorp managing director Damien Cavallucci described the laneway as a permanent contribution to Brisbane’s public fabric. He stated that the connection transforms a former private easement into a safe, activated pedestrian route for the whole community.

The laneway will sit beneath a subtropical “urban verandah” inspired by Mediterranean design principles. It will feature water gardens, layered planting, wine bars, book clubs, and business lounges aimed at activating the public realm.

High-Tech Amenities and Sky-Pool Homes

The project features a five-level wellness and lifestyle offering that includes a rooftop longevity club. Residents will have access to a tennis court, resort pools, spas, saunas, and sun lounges alongside golf simulators and a bike workshop.

In a bold move for luxury living, the building will include a Tesla Optimus robotic room designed for future robotic logistics and autonomous vehicle integration. Other amenities include climate-controlled wine storage, acoustic work suites, and a dedicated Uber pick-up zone.

Cavcorp is also introducing “sky-pool homes”, oversized luxury apartments inspired by Teneriffe’s historic Woolstores. These homes will feature private thermal plunge pools on balconies, soaring ceiling heights, and fireplaces.

Targeting Downsizers and City Buyers

Mr Cavallucci said the apartments are targeted at buyers wanting “house-like amenity without the maintenance burden”. He noted this is particularly appealing to downsizers seeking luxury living close to the city.

The homes are designed to capture the spirit of Teneriffe’s Woolstore heritage while delivering a new level of private resort living. They maximise natural ventilation and river breezes with oversized verandah-style outdoor spaces.

The project forms part of Cavcorp’s broader vision for the Long Island Gasworks precinct. It adds to their other nearby apartment projects including Lucent, Le Bain, and Luminare.

As reported by realestate.com.au, the development comes as Brisbane developers increasingly compete on high-end lifestyle offerings for affluent downsizers and interstate buyers.
