Ballers Clubhouse will open in Fortitude Valley on 1 February 2027, taking over the former King of Kings site on Wickham Street with a two-level venue built around games, food and drink.
The Melbourne-born brand calls the concept competitive socialising. The Brisbane venue is a $5 million project at 173-179 Wickham Street, with room for 600 people and up to 100 hospitality staff at full scale.
What Ballers Clubhouse will offer
Games include camera-tracked darts, automated shuffleboard, pool, table tennis and ball pit karaoke. There is a sports bar with two large screens for major sporting events, an eatery called Posh Nosh Kitchen, and a cocktail list built around games. A private level upstairs is set aside for corporate and private functions.
Co-founder Joshua Lefers described it as the most ambitious venue the brand has produced.
The old King of Kings site
The building housed the King of Kings yum cha restaurant for more than 30 years before it closed during the pandemic. Space Cubed is handling the design and Lowry Group the fit-out.
Who is behind the venue
Lefers and Stephen Wools started Ballers Clubhouse in Melbourne in 2020 and also run Pawn & Co on Ann Street. A Geelong venue is expected to follow the Brisbane opening.
Prices, opening hours and menu details have not been published.
