Brisbane label A.K.A. opens first Fortitude Valley studio on Wickham Street

A new address for Brisbane tailoring

Brisbane fashion label Also Known As Atelier (A.K.A.) has opened its first Fortitude Valley studio at 74 Wickham Street. According to InDaily, the studio opened in the first week of October and is open by appointment only.

The label was founded by Brisbane designer Ayla Anderson, 26, and is built around narrative-driven design, precise craftsmanship and conceptual tailoring. It reworks classic suiting into unconventional silhouettes, and InDaily reports it has attracted influential creatives and earned multiple red carpet appearances.

The studio offers ready-to-wear, made-to-measure and bespoke pieces, all designed and produced in Brisbane. The team has set the space up as an immersive studio so visitors can see the label’s inspiration first hand.

The opening follows the label’s sold-out Autumn-Winter 2026 runway debut. Anderson told InDaily that “opening our own space just months after our first independent runway show feels surreal”, and that the studio reflects the team and creative community behind the label.

Visits are by appointment only, with bookings made through the label’s website.
