Fair Day returns to New Farm Park on 7 November after rain washout

Brisbane Pride Fair Day 2026 will now take place on Saturday 7 November at New Farm Park, Brunswick Street, after wet weather forced organisers to postpone the original 24 October date.

It’s the first time Fair Day has been held at New Farm Park since 2022. Apart from the date, nothing has changed: same venue, same hours. Gates open at 10am and the day runs through to 5pm.

The Rally and March Kicks Off the Morning

Before the gates open, the Pride Rally and March gathers at 9am on the corner of Ann and Brunswick Streets. From there it makes its way to New Farm Park, arriving around 11am. Joining the march is free. You can walk in with it, or head straight to the park and meet it there.

Because the march finishes at the park, Brisbane Pride Fair Day 2026 and the Rally and March effectively run as one event, so it’s easy to do both in a single outing.

Main Stage, Markets, and Food

The main stage gets going once the march arrives. Speeches, drag, live music, dance and community performances run from late morning through to close. The headline act takes the stage at 2pm, though it has yet to be announced. More set times will be added as artists are confirmed.

The Rainbow Markets bring together LGBTIQA+ makers, small businesses, health services and community organisations from across Queensland. There’s plenty to browse, groups to sign up with and people happy to have a chat. A food precinct runs all day, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options alongside a licensed bar.

Tickets and Entry

Brisbane Pride Fair Day 2026 is a ticketed event, with tickets sold through Eventbrite. Pricing for 2026 is still being confirmed and will be listed on the ticket page once finalised. Visitors collect a wristband at the gate. Stallholder registration remains open to community organisations and LGBTIQA+-owned businesses.

Accessibility arrangements for the park are still being finalised and will be published before the day. Anyone with specific access needs is encouraged to contact the organisers in advance.

Getting to New Farm Park

The New Farm Park CityCat terminal sits on the river’s edge of the park, and buses run along Brunswick Street, so check TransLink for the route that suits you. Street parking nearby is limited and fills up early, which makes public transport the easier option. If you’re on foot, the park is within walking distance of Merthyr Village and the Brunswick Street shops.

On the day

Fair Day goes ahead in light rain, so it’s worth packing a raincoat. If severe weather makes the park unsafe, the event will be postponed and a new date posted on the Brisbane Pride website, as happened with the original 24 October date.

Dogs are welcome on a lead. Owners are asked to bring water and a bowl, pick up after their pets and keep them clear of the main stage crowd. Organisers also warn that it’s a hot, loud and busy day, so nervous dogs may be happier at home. Registered assistance animals are welcome anywhere on site.

Fair Day is for everyone: LGBTIQA+ people, families, friends and allies. It runs on volunteers, who help with gates and wristbands, stall support, stage crew and accessibility. Anyone keen to lend a hand can sign up through the Brisbane Pride website.

A single form covers both Fair Day and the Rally and March, so you can put your name down for either or both.
