Castile Newstead: A New Riverfront Icon on Skyring Terrace

Consolidated Properties Group (CPG) has officially unveiled Castile, a new riverfront development on Skyring Terrace in Newstead. The project is positioned as the final opportunity for a new absolute riverfront residence on the East bank of Newstead, Teneriffe or New Farm.

According to Apartments.com.au, the full public sales launch is scheduled for later this year, following a period of engagement with VIP buyers.

Design and Legacy

Designed by Woods Bagot, Castile aims to be a timeless addition to the Brisbane skyline. The development draws inspiration from Brisbane’s great heritage buildings, reinterpreting classical architecture into a contemporary landmark.

CPG Chairman and CEO Don O’Rorke told the press that the project was envisioned as a future Brisbane icon. “With 47 metres of direct river frontage and never to be built out views, 47 Skyring Terrace is the definitive address on the Brisbane River,” O’Rorke said.

O’Rorke emphasised that the design avoids trend-based apartment styles. Instead, the team is aiming for a structure designed to stand proudly for the next 100 years.

Development Details

The approved development will comprise 227 apartments across a 25-storey tower. Alongside the main tower, there will be a boutique six-storey riverfront building containing just 12 residences.

Construction is scheduled to commence in September 2026. The project sits at 47 Skyring Terrace, a location described as the dress circle of the riverfront.

Sales and Timeline

While VIP buyers are currently being engaged, the broader market will have to wait for the official launch later this year. Joel Robinson, Editor in Chief at Apartments.com.au, confirmed the timeline and details of the launch strategy.

Robinson noted that the project represents a rare opportunity in the off-the-plan market, given the scarcity of new riverfront sites in the area.
