Agnes Restaurant Unveils 25 New Dishes Part of New Menu
Fortitude Valley favourite Agnes Restaurant has officially unveiled a major new menu featuring 25 fresh dishes. The award-winning eatery on Agnes Street is marking this evolution with a confident return to its signature fire-led approach and beautiful produce.
According to Style Magazines, the new offerings were created by Anyday Culinary Director and co-owner Ben Williamson alongside the Agnes Restaurant team. The menu draws inspiration from Spanish and Mediterranean cooking while staying deeply rooted in the restaurant’s history of open-fire cooking.
Smoky Flavours and New Set Menus
Guests can expect a range of bold dishes including scorched Mallorquin toast with honeycomb, fennel seeds, and guindillas. Other highlights include Catalan-style txistorra roasted in farmhouse cider and lime, as well as coral trout pil pil with burnt lemon.
Some beloved staples are staying on the menu, such as the smoked cured tomato toast and the cult-status sourdough crumpet with yellowfin tuna and crème fraîche. Style Magazines reports that the drinks list has also been refreshed with bright, seasonal cocktails designed to match the new food.
For those who prefer a curated experience, the restaurant has introduced two new set menu options priced at $89 and $139 per person. This allows diners to settle in and let the kitchen take care of the rest.
Intimate Atmosphere in a Restored Warehouse
The experience remains inside the venue’s restored 1890s warehouse on Agnes Street. The setting features warm lighting, smoky aromas, and incredible service that maintains the intimate energy of the location.
Ben Williamson describes the cooking philosophy as managing a primal element. “Working with fire is the art of managing a primal element, compelling our team to cook with intuition,” Williamson says. “Our new menu reflects this philosophy, stripping back unnecessary elements and focusing on quality produce, allowing the ingredients and fire to speak for themselves.”
Agnes Restaurant is open daily at 22 Agnes Street, Fortitude Valley. The publication notes that booking a table sooner rather than later is advisable given the venue’s reputation for hard-to-get reservations.
