Winter in Brisbane gets a glow-up as Night Feast returns to the Brisbane Powerhouse for a month-long celebration of food, art, and after-dark culture. The festival is scheduled to run from 29 July to 23 August 2026, transforming the riverside precinct into a hub for culinary and artistic exploration.
According to Style Magazines, the event will feature curated dishes from over 20 of the city’s top restaurants. This year’s lineup welcomes new venues including AUNTY, Clarence, Blackbird, Norté, Pilloni, The 203, and Poco Madre Mexicana. Returning favourites such as Central, Donna Chang, Gelato Messina, and CÁLIDA Steak & Bar will also be serving up their signature fare.
A One-Off Long Lunch Experience
Highlights of the program include a special three-hour Better Off Red long lunch on Sunday 16 August. This exclusive daytime feast is a collaboration with Bosco and Blackbird, designed to ignite the senses on the Brisbane Powerhouse riverside lawn.
The all-inclusive experience costs $269 per person and features flame-led dishes paired with d’Arenberg wines. Guests will enjoy front-row seats to live vocals from opera singers Katie Stenzel and Jason Barry-Smith, contemporary tunes from ELSKA, and a performance of Paper Face by The Farm dance company.
An exclusive American Express Garden Lounge will also be available for card members and their guests, offering a private bar and comfortable surrounds within the festival precinct.
Art Installations and Live Performances
Beyond the food, the festival boasts a stellar line-up of art and performance. Sydney-based studio Amigo & Amigo presents Ignite, a towering interactive installation where audiences create a communal ‘bonfire’ using a series of seesaws.
Other major installations include Nixi Killick’s Joy Generator, a sculptural piece exploring joy as a connective force, and Jonny Niesche’s Total Vibration. Niesche’s work transforms the Stores Studio into an immersive landscape of light and atmosphere, complemented by a soundtrack from British electronic musician Mark Pritchard.
The performing arts program features VISTA by Stephanie Lake Company, a new dance work examining perception and rhythm. Additionally, chef Savva Savas will host a live podcast edition of Three Food Memories, blending storytelling with tasting.
La Scala Listening Lounge
For those seeking a quieter moment, the La Scala Listening Lounge offers an intimate space grounded in vintage Klipsch speakers. Presented by Hol Sol (QUIVR) and Aidan Beiers (Black Bear Lodge), the lounge features curated vinyl sets designed for relaxed vibes and deep listening.
